Mosques of Bangladesh

This post is dedicated to the beautiful Mosques of Bangladesh. I find the way Islam merges with the culture of the Muslims who practice the Religion very interesting. Bangladesh is a very poor country but has a rich history of Islam and has made some priceless contributions to the worldwide Muslim culture!

This is the colorful Mosque is called Baitul Aman Masjid and is located in Barisal city, Bangladesh.

This is the beautiful Tara Masjid (Star Mosque) which is located in a poor Muslim part of Old Dhaka City in Bangladesh. You can see it is an old Mosque built in the 18th century in Mughal style architecture by Mirza Ghulam. It is called the "Star Mosque" because of the 5 pointed star in the courtyard and the many intricate little blue stars that art part of the ornate design decorating the walls of the Mosque.
This is the Bayt al Mukarram Mosque that also located in Dhaka City, Bangladesh. The Bayt al Mukarram was built in 1962 and is the largest mosque in Bangladesh and also one of the biggest mosques in the world!
